Posidonia 2016 Info > Posidonia Cup

Sign up for the industry's most exciting regatta and compete for the coveted Posidonia Cup trophies.

For the 8th consecutive time the Posidonia Cup will launch Posidonia week on Friday 3 June 2016 in Faliron Bay.
Established as the flagship event of the Posidonia sporting programme and one of the biggest sailing events in Greek waters, the Posidonia Cup Yacht Race has become a firm fixture on the global shipping agenda.
A record 58 yachts and over 500 crew members were the ingredients of the action-packed Posidonia Cup 2014 sailing race, which culminated in a prestigious award ceremony at the picturesque Vouliagmeni Lake, bringing professional sailors, shipping executives and experienced seamen together and creating the unique Posidonia atmosphere. The challenging weather conditions stimulated both enthusiasm and suspense and united the global shipping family in a day full of fun, fellowship and adventure!
Whether racing in the Performance, Standard, I.R.C. or Classic yachts category, all participants will join the prestigious award ceremony that will take place on Friday evening, the perfect ending to a joyful day.
Posidonia exhibitors and all members of the international shipping community are invited to join the race, either with their own private yacht or with those provided by the co-organisers, the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC).
2016 Notice of Race and Entry Form will be available shortly.
