On Sunday 2 June 2024, the 8th edition of the exciting Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament will kick off, marking the start of the largest gathering of the global maritime community, the Posidonia 2024 International Shipping Exhibition.
 

Only 24 hours before the exhibition’s official Opening Ceremony, 28 teams of shipping executives, divided into 4 groups, will compete for the popular Posidonia Shipsoccer trophies in a 5x5 format. The tournament will take place at the Star Sport Club Voula.
 

The award ceremony and reception will commence after the final whistle, where all the teams will be presented with participation awards and the three first teams will receive their trophies and medals.

 

Registration is now open for Posidonia exhibitors & sponsors. Registration for all members of the global shipping community will open on 12 March 2024.

This soccer tournament is raising funds for global maritime welfare charity Sailors' Society

The charity supports seafarers and their families all over the world with its 24/7 helpline and Crisis Response Network, award-winning wellness programme and ground-breaking cadet conferences and industry reports.

 

Funds raised from this event will help fund its vital work from supporting frightened seafarers in the Red Sea to giving emergency welfare grants to Ukrainian seafarers in need.
