2016 Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament kick off!
The 5th Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament, the unique soccer event for the worldwide shipping community, will again take place one day before the official opening of the international shipping exhibition Posidonia 2016.
On Sunday 5 June 2016, the Champions League Karaiskaki Stadium will be packed with shipping executives in their soccer outfits, ready to compete for the popular Posidonia Shipsoccer trophies.
As an integral part of the Posidonia Games, the 5x5 soccer tournament is expected to attract football enthusiasts from around the globe. Shipping companies, suppliers and international organizations, representing all sectors of the maritime industry, are eligible to participate in the event.
In 2014 over 500 spectators enjoyed a spectacular day of action and cheered for more than 250 shipping executives from 28 companies that participated in the event.
The 2016 tournament will again host 4 groups of 7 teams (total 28 participants). The award ceremony will take place after the final, at approximately 22:00, at the Karaiskaki Reception Hall.
